The Art of PG-Dark

8 March 2010

In diesem Sinne…

There are other things you can make out of old inner tubes besides necklaces and bracelets: rugs!
This really beautiful exemplar was designed by Ariadna Miguel. Price: ridiculous 1200$. So it’s “Do it yourself!”, isn’t it?

We reported about Steve Mitchell some days ago. He uses old bike parts to build nice sculptures. Check it out again: click! Looks like real men-work, doesn’t it?

Women like it more fancy…
Christiane Diehl from Germany and Sasja Saptenno from the Netherlands use old inner tubes and tinker necklaces and bracelets. Okay, it’s no bling bling! But it looks really good, too…

The picture above shows 3 necklaces made by Sasja Saptenno. A Bracelet and a necklace made by Christiane Diehl is shown below.

If you’re are searching for a birthday gift for your girlfriend or wife take a look at the homepages of Sasja Saptenno and Christiane Diehl.

unconventional bike racks

6 May 2009

The musician, artist and biking enthusiast David Byrne designed nine pretty nice bikes racks for the city of New York. This guitar is one of them. Amongst others a high heel, a coffee cup and a dollar sign, which was installed in the Wall Street, were presented. You find some pictures of the other bike racks over on the homepage of New York City Dot.

Do you remember the bench, which can be used both as park bench and bike rack, that we showed to you some weeks ago?
